I got this tattoo because drawing shitty cartoons and writing silly scripts have always been the things I could turn to when life wasn’t giving me what I needed. To me it stresses the fact that even though the universe is filled with countless duplicates, we still find ways to be individuals. Accept no one’s definition of your life; Define yourself.

I’ve loved Studio Ghibli films for quiet a few years now, first watching Spirited Away which blew my mind.
This was my sleep time movie every night for a good month & a bit and I watch it whenever I’m down.
I got this baby done in Adelaide at The Tattoo Gallery on Rundle St from Andy P. He did a great job on my Zelda Triforce piece & also fixing up my Spiritual Stones from Ocarina of Time and I trust his work immensely after this Totoro piece. Greatest dude!
Hi, my name is Alex and i recently got my tattoo done by Justin Oriani, a very talented artist that tattoos at Enchanted Dragon in Tucson, AZ. This is my first tattoo - i went big and out. The pain that so many people talk when getting tattoos didnt faze me, i had greater pains in my life. This tattoo signifies the death of my old self and represents a new me - stronger and ready to take on a world that shook me up. Since i am Latina, i thought that picking a dia de los muertos theme would be fitting. As i was looking down 4th ave inTucson, i saw the most stunning gypsy skull lady characters by Sylvia Ji. I was taken by her hauntingly beautiful artwork. I decided to use one of her portraits as the concept for my art. Justin did an unbelievable job. He used his tattoo gun to the point where parts of my tattoo felt sensational. My healing time was literally days. He took a little over 4 hours to finish (i still need a hummingbird, more color and a date/initials). I didnt have any excessive plasma leaking or scabbing. Actually, i didnt scab at all and hardly peeled - that’s how awesome my artist is! I plan to stay loyal to him. Tattoo #2 is definitely in the scopes once i get more money :)
